October 23, 2012
The Miner County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in the commission room of the Miner County Courthouse. Members present included Roger Wentland, Voni Durant, Pat Maroney and Don Bowman. Member absent: Heath Thompson. Vice Chairman Wentland called the meeting to order. Motion by Maroney, seconded by Durant and carried to approve the agenda.
Commissioners discussed the removal of the burn ban. Maroney asked if the fire departments were in favor of removal of the ban. Wentland informed the board that the departments were in favor of lifting the ban. Motion by Bowman and seconded by Durant to adopt the following resolution.
RESOLUTION 12-26
WHEREAS, Resolution 12-15 declared a fire danger emergency and banned open burning in the rural areas of Miner County, and
WHEREAS, recent rains have lessened the fire danger emergency,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Miner County Board of Commissioners that the ban on open burning pursuant to Resolution 12-15 is hereby rescinded.
Voting aye: Maroney, Durant, Bowman, and Wentland. Voting nay: none. Resolution approved this 23rd day of October, 2012.
