Applications are now being accepted by the Miner County Highway Department for the position of Highway Maintenance Worker.  Applicant will operate a variety of equipment and perform all types of related construction and maintenance work as necessary.  Applicant must have valid driver’s license and CDL license or the ability to obtain one.  Applicant will pass a pre-employment physical examination and pre-employment drug screening and also be required to participate in the antidrug and alcohol employee assistance program.  Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays. Health, dental and vision insurance are paid 100% for employee by the county.  Coverage for family is available with cost share by county. Aflac and a retirement program are offered.  Starting wage is $16.59/hr with opportunity for level raises, guaranteed overtime with hours of operation: March through November 7:00am-5:30pm (10hrs) and December through February 7:00am-4:30pm (9hrs).
