The Miner County Board of Commissioners met in regular session August 1, 2013, in the Miner County Courthouse. Members present: Roger Wentland, Don Bowman, Pat Maroney, Alex Protsch and Voni Durant. Absent: none. Chairman Wentland called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Maroney, seconded by Durant and carried to approve the agenda as amended.
The minutes of July 16th meeting were approved.
Zoning Administrator Tami Severson presented the following plat for consideration. Motion by Bowman and seconded by Protsch to approve the following resolution.
RESOLUTION 13-19
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Miner County, South Dakota, that the plat of “TRACT 1 OF WEIDLER’S ADDITION IN THE NORTHEAST ¼ OF SECTION 19, TOWNSHIP 106 NORTH, RANGE 55 WEST OF THE 5TH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, MINER COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA”, which has been submitted for examination pursuant to law, is hereby approved and the County Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to endorse on such plat a copy of this resolution and certify the same.
Voting aye: Maroney, Protsch, Bowman, Durant and Wentland. Voting nay: none. Resolution adopted this 1st day of August, 2013.

The proposed provisional budget was reviewed.
A surplus public auction was held on 1st floor of the courthouse as advertised.
Commissioners acknowledged Dawson Construction’s renewal application to the SD Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources to construct & operate a petroleum contaminated soil land application facility.
Motion by Durant, seconded by Bowman and carried to place on the table a request for EMT pay increase.
Motion by Protsch, seconded by Maroney and carried to enter into executive session to discuss employee reviews for the Director of Equalization, Emergency Manager/Weed Supervisor, and Custodian. (10:00) Returned to regular session at 10:37.
