The Miner County Board of Commissioners met in regular session August 19, 2014, in the Miner County Courthouse. Members present: Roger Wentland, Don Bowman, Garrett Gassman, Alex Protsch, and Voni Durant. Chairman Wentland called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Durant, second by Bowman and carried to approve the agenda as amended.
The minutes of the August 5th meeting were approved.
The board reviewed the USDA reallocation of base acres associated with the county owned
SW ¼ of Section 4 T106 R56. Also received was the Emergency Management report.
Highway Superintendent Ron Krempges reported on chip sealing and patching projects that have been completed; future culvert replacement on county road #7 south of Canova and the possible addition of a culvert near 24356 435th Ave.; and equipment issues. The 1996 140H Caterpillar motor grader will be considered for surplus and advertised for sale at a future meeting.
