The Miner County Board of Commissioners met in regular session October 18, 2016 in the Miner County Courthouse. Members present: Roger Wentland, Tom Reisch, Garrett Gassman, Voni Durant, and Alex Protsch. Absent: none. Chairman Wentland called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Protsch, seconded by Gassman and carried to approve the agenda.
The board acknowledge receipt of the following correspondence: Lincoln County Involuntary Commit Billing Procedures; Canova Cowhands 4-H Club Thank You; Miner County Sheriff & 911 September reports; and Miner County Conservation and NRCS September meeting minutes.
Miner County Clerical assistant with the CHN’s office, Miranda Donahue, presented the CHN’s Quarterly Report. Donahue explained the state’s new requirement for filing claims with each individual’s insurance company for services rendered by the CHN office and gave an update on flu shot clinics and WIC services.
Director of Equalization Tami Severson informed the commissioners about a vehicle she had found as a replacement of the 2004 Chevy Blazer. Wentland will contact O’Kieffe Implement and bring more information to the next commission meeting.
Building manager Colleen Arens informed the board on the new method of operation for the courthouse boiler. Arens is working with Direct Digital Control to manage the system. She also reviewed the quote from Midwest Glass of Brookings, SD to replace the hinges and door closures on the south doors of the courthouse. It was moved by Reisch, seconded by Durant and carried to approve the quote from Midwest Glass, $1730.25.
