The Miner County Board of Commissioners met in regular session October 16, 2018 in the Miner County Courthouse. Members present: Roger Wentland, Garrett Gassman, Voni Durant, Tom Reisch and Alex Protsch. Absent: none. Chairman Wentland called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Protsch, seconded by Gassman and carried to approve the agenda.
The minutes of the October 2nd meeting were approved. No one appeared for Public Comment.

Wentland and Gassman volunteered to attend the Vermillion Basin Water Development District meeting that shall be held in Salem on Friday, October 26th.
It was moved by Durant, seconded by Protsch and carried to approve poor relief case 18-01 providing payment to Willoughby Funeral Home.
Wentland informed the board the Howard Township board will be meeting to consider the proposal of applying MagWater to 434th Ave. from Hwy 34 south to Graceland Cemetery. Further discussion will take place at the next commissioner meeting.
Director of Equalization Tami Severson presented the following plat for consideration. It was moved by Gassman and seconded by Reisch to approve the following resolution.
RESOLUTION 18-24
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Miner County, South Dakota, that the plat of LOT 1 OF SCHWADER FIRST ADDITION IN THE NW ¼ OF SECTION 20, T 107 N, R 55 W OF THE 5TH P.M., MINER COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA, which has been submitted for examination pursuant to law, is hereby approved and the County Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to endorse on such plat a copy of this Resolution and certify the same.
Voting aye: Gassman, Durant, Protsch, Reisch, and Wentland. Voting nay: none. Resolution adopted this 16th day of October, 2018.

It was moved by Durant, seconded by Gassman and carried to enter into executive session (SDCL 1-25-2 (1)) at 9:44. Returned to regular session at 10:06.
